WHAT WE BELIEVE
STATEMENT OF FAITH
The Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God, our final rule of faith and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:15-17; Hebrews 4:12, NKJV)
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are three distinct, co-equal, co-eternal persons, one God. Jesus Christ is God manifested in the flesh. (John 1:1-14; Matthew 28:18-20, NKJV)
Man was created good and upright but fell through sin; his only hope is Jesus Christ. (Genesis 1:26-31; 3:1-7; Romans 5:12-21, ESV)
Salvation is by grace through faith in Christ’s shed blood alone, not by works. On the cross, Jesus bore both our sin and our sickness, providing salvation and divine healing for all who believe. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10; Isaiah 53:4-5; 1 Peter 2:24) Salvation is confirmed inwardly by the witness of the Spirit and outwardly by a life of righteousness. (Romans 8:16; Matthew 7:16-20)
Believers who have repented and trusted Christ are baptized by immersion, declaring their death and resurrection with Him. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4, NKJV)
We regularly observe communion in remembrance of Christ’s broken body and shed blood, examining our hearts as we partake. (1 Corinthians 11:23-28, ESV)
Every believer should earnestly seek the baptism in the Holy Spirit, a distinct experience subsequent to the new birth that empowers us for life and ministry. (Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4-8; 2:38; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31)
This baptism is evidenced by the initial sign of speaking in other tongues, followed by ongoing spiritual power in testimony and service. (Acts 2:4; 10:44-46; 19:2,6; Galatians 5:16-26)
The Church is the body of Christ, indwelt by the Spirit, called to fulfill His Great Commission. Every believer is a member of this one body. (Ephesians 1:22-23; 2:19-22)
We believe God desires wholeness for His children — spiritual, mental, physical, financial, and social — received by faith and stewarded in obedience, not a promise that faith removes hardship. (3 John 2; Isaiah 53:4-5; Malachi 3:10-11; Luke 6:38; Romans 12:2)
Jesus is coming again to gather His saints, then to rule and reign on earth for one thousand years, followed by a new heaven and new earth. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17; Revelation 19:11-16; 20:1-6; Revelation 21)
Those who reject Christ’s redemptive work face eternal separation from God. (Revelation 20:10-15)
The Church affirms marriage as instituted by God between one man and one woman, the foundation of the family. Each person is immutably created male or female, together reflecting the image of God. (Genesis 1:26-27; 2:24)
